One
of the premier events in the first half of the camp season, College Days is now a favorite
amongst Saginaw Campers. Everyone is divided into 2 Colleges, and just like the real Colleges
(in 2006, it was UCLA vs. Georgia), they compete in events such as March Madness (basketball),
Duck Pond (hockey), track and field, and soccer.
The 3-day competition opens with a Saginaw favorite, the rope burn. Credits are accumulated
throughout the games and each college is run by the Deans and Professors. Graduation Ceremony
includes a cheer from the Freshmen (Juniors), a pennant from the Sophomores (Inters) and a
mascot from the Seniors (Seniors).

This
unique program for Saginaw gives our Senior (13 – 16 years old)
Campers the opportunity to direct, produce, and star in their own Hollywood
style movie. The productions are judged and Oscars are awarded for excellence
in several categories. The only thing missing from this event are the
paparazzi.

Roulette, Bingo, Race Car Driving, and Dice.
In addition, campers can visit the Wedding Booth, make tapes at the
Karaoke studio, and pick up your favorite snack such as water ice, soft
pretzels, and lemonade. The bunk that accumulates the most winning tickets,
receives a fantastic prize!!!!

What
better place to compete in the Survivor game than at your own camp.
Saginaw survivors really have to use their brains, strength and strategies
in order to remain in the competition. The events are exciting and culminate
with the entire camp cheering on their favorite contestant.

This
park should be called Saginaw’s Hershey Park, since we have been
attending for over 50 summers. The day is filled with fun for everyone
as we make our way through the park, enjoying rides, shows, and of course,
that luscious Hershey candy!

Hosted by a professional disc jockey, Saginaw rocks throughout the summer with special theme dances, proms, and other special events. As part of the dances, campers participate in musical games and competitions.

Without a doubt, there is no activity more anticipated than Color War!
This 5-day event held in the second half of the summer divides the camp
into 2 teams representing the camp colors of Red and Blue. The competition
stresses good sportsmanship as the campers participate in a wide range of activities. The event culminates with a songfest.
In 2007 Color War was hot with the Red Desert vs the Blue Jungle.
